Scrap the Music Challenge 203B

Hey Everyone!

After participating in the Online Core'dination Crop last week, I have the bug. The Core'dination bug that is. I decided to use only Core'dination paper in this weeks challenge from Scrap the Music.

203B- Scrap a song that your parent sang to you or you sign to your child (ren).

I remember my mom would sing two songs to me. One is Ozark Mountain Lullaby and the other was Coat of Many Colors (Dolly Parton). My mom would also sew clothes for me. I remember a beautiful blue dress with little white dots and a lacy trimmed apron. I was two years old. My mom still has the dress. When I have a baby girl it will become her dress. My mom would always make an outfit for me every school year. I remember feeling so pretty. lucky and rich.

I decided to hand stitch each square on the 12x12 layout to represent the different pieces of material my mom would use. The picture is of me wearing a dress my mom made when I was about one.

I added flowers and buttons to accent the page.

Both pieces of writing are lyrics from the song. Lyrics can be found here.

I hope you like the layout and thanks for visiting my blog.
