It has been eight years since that morning. I remember where I was. I was in my eleventh grade math class. The principal came over the intercom and announced that two planes had struck the Twin Towers in New York City. The rest of the day was a blur, but I do remember watching the news the rest of the school day.
I reflect upon everything I saw that day. The lives lost and the lives saved. Even today I listen to the music that came out after that event...the anger, the grief, and the hope.
Today my little brother is in the Middle East fighting for our country.I'm very proud of him.
My hopes and best wishes go out to the families that have people over seas and to the families that lost someone that day.
